We’re off to the races! It’s officially May and our team is kicking off the celebrations of derby week with colorful hats, red rose-filled centerpieces, mint julep flavored favors, & cocktails filled with bubbly and bourbon.

Here’s a few favorites of our Derby Day party details!

What’s not to love about the fun bite- sized french macarons? A popular favor that instantly can brighten an event. Our team created Mint Julep Macarons that pack a bold and cool steeped mint flavor, that’s spiked with a splash of Makers Mark for an extra punch. Perfect for a dessert bar or take home favors for guests!

The red rose is powerful enough to elevate any event’s decor. Extra drama is added with a heightened harlow stand which plays up a party’s palette in all the best ways!

Let’s talk cocktails! We love a good mint julep, but sometimes you need to put a spin on the menu and wow your guests with a new addition. The Keeneland Breeze is perfect parts bubbly, citrusy, and of course packed with bourbon. Here’s our favorite recipe:

1 oz Maker’s Mark bourbon
A heavy splash of orange liqueur
Heavy splash of Ginger ale
A twist of orange for added flavor & garnish

Fill a highball glass about two-thirds full with ice. Pour in one part of Maker’s. Add a splash of orange liqueur and top off with ginger ale. Use an orange slice to garnish. Voila! Derby Day perfection.
